We had a little 'picnic' - yes, wit the quotes, because picnics - for me - are supposed to be outdoors, but due to the unfavourable weather (who told you to have your picnic during winter??), we had to do it indoor.
So anyway, I tried to make pavlova. I remember it used to be such a hype in Malaysia (just like red velvet cake, durian crepe etc etc), and I had my first taste of it during our section's recent potluck.
So anyway, I tried to make pavlova. I remember it used to be such a hype in Malaysia (just like red velvet cake, durian crepe etc etc), and I had my first taste of it during our section's recent potluck.

I followed the recipe from here
The ingredients:
5 egg white
1 ¼ cup caster sugar
2 tablespoons cornflour (cornstarch)
2 teaspoons of white vinegar
1 ½ cups of cream
strawberries, blueberries and chocolate to decorate
Pre-heat oven at 150 degrees celsius then drop it down to 120 degrees celsius and bake for 1 hr 20 mins. After that time, turn oven off, leave door ajar and let cool to room temp before decorating.
If you're like me, make sure not to leave your oven unattended! I burnt my first try! Quite embarrassing actually. Bahaha. Oh and this is quite sweet, so you might want to reduce the sugar just a tad, if you don't have a sweet tooth.
Here's how mine turned out
You could cut the strawberries to smaller pieces, so it'll be easier to cut it. Be creative with the topping :D
Good luck!
Looks ugly =,=
