Currently in Paris. I wasn't really looking forward to visit Paris because a) the abundance of pickpockets, b) soooo many people, c) I'm starting to get bored since this is our second week of the trip (andthelastweekthankGod) and d) it is frigging snowing.
Don't get me wrong. I love snow. Very much. I just don't like the cold. The fact that you're alone, with no one to cuddle with, kinda hits you harder in this temperature lol.
I was pretty much moody yesterday. But while we were in the train, there's these 2 guys (I think), street musicians (is there another term?), played a familiar happy beat (but I couldn't recognize the name of the song) that lift up my mood. I was smiling by the end of it.
I guess Paris isn't that bad after all :)
And good music always help.

The 8th Day.
Hello peeps.
If you're wondering about my whereabouts, currently I'm in Oxford, England. Will be going to Salisbury around noon to see the Stonehenge. Woot woot.
I love every moment I spent here. Except that one time when we both realized we don't have enough money. And we're barely halfway through our trip! Haha. Thank God I could contact mum. Thanks mum! I promise I'll work very hard helping you when I get back.
What I love about being here? The architecture. The friendly people. The organized, modernized feel. The fact that the tube arrived exactly at the time shown. Even when it's not (which is very rare, FYI), the tube operator will apologized for the delay. Honestly, I love just about everything actually. I even love the gloomy weather. OK maybe not so much, but at least it's not scorching hot here.
We keep on comparing Egypt and UK and we agreed that if the Egyptians came here, they won't want to come back to Egypt. Haha. Oh. And I'm glad that we'll be going back to Malaysia after this trip because it will be depressing to go back to Egypt after spending about two weeks here.
On a side note, I've finished reading Jodi Picoult's Sing You Home. Bought The Kite Runner for only £2. Got a business idea that might work on international level. But I need to do some research first. That is, if I want to work on it.
That's it for now. Cheers.

Siwa and Matrouh
A 2-days trip.
A bit of a bus problem, so we didn't get to see several places. Must go there again, especially Matrouh.
We had a tour guide while in Siwa, but I didn't understand a thing he said (and I believe it's the same for Ili :P) since he spoke in Arabic (the rest who joined the trip could understand Arabic...so...yeah).
Now that both Siwa and Matrouh is off the list, there are 6 places left on my 'Egypt: Must Go' list.
Some of the pictures are taken from Ili. (sorry for the late credits!)

Winter Break 2012
*warning! this is a lengthy post with more than 50 photos, because the writer is such a lazy-ass to write about her trip and to break the post into parts.*
The pictures are not necessarily in order.
I dropped my contact lens on the second day in Italy.
Just to get things clear, I only have 1 winter coat (couldn't be bothered to buy and bring more) hence the same outerwear throughout the pics.

Zagazig for the second time
Once arrived, we (Khalilah, Lily, Karl - our musyrif - and me) went to a restaurant called Maxim for dinner. I would rate the restaurant 3 out of 5 stars. 1 star was deducted because the waiter was...in a way...rude. Maybe he thought he was being...I dunno...culture-wise? Smart? But if he was, he wouldn't greet us with 'Ni hao'. Yes, I know we get that all the time, but it doesn't mean I hate it even less. No, I do not have anything against Chinese, I just hate how they couldn't differentiate between a Chinese and Malaysian. That other 1 star was because our food came late - but it's not exactly a fast food restaurant, so there's nothing much I could do about that.

| Ze food we ordered |
Spent the rest of the night basically just hanging out with them (some of the guys who didn't play DOTA came).
The next day, after going to Mahattah (read: station), we made kek batik, while Lily made 'kuah kacang'. We were still full after eating at Shuk's house (chicken rice and steamboat :D) so we ate them for breakfast instead.
Why the heck do I write in a very detailed way? -__-
Anyway, I learned to play guitar with Lily, and hurt my fingers in the process. It's supposed to hurt if you were a beginner, right? At least I could (almost) play two songs already. The first one is Romanza - or something - and the other one is Giving Up by Ingrid Michaelson. It makes me want to buy guitar even more. Already asked mum if I could, and she said yes, as long as I don't forget my studies. Yay! Maybe I could work on my tone deafness after that. Haha.
Wish me luck :)
It's 6.10 am and I am currently at Dubai International Airport.
I don't really intend on writing a long post on how our trip went by. Mostly because there's nothing really to write about. All we've done was walk and walk and walk. We don't even plan specifically where would we go, how long we'll spend our time in a particular place, etc etc. Basically, we just do whatever suits our time, energy, and most important, money.
But here are some tips I could think of at the moment.
Your travel buddy(s). This alone will have a major effect on how your overall trip will be. Find one with the same walking pace. Find one with the same budget. Find one with the same interest (what do you expect from the trip? Shopping? Photography? History? Culture?)
Next is planning. Plan and do a little bit of research on places that you want to visit. What time it will be open, how much is the entrance fee, how will you get there, etc etc. If the place require a ticket, book/buy it in advance. Now, you could do almost everything online.
Heh. One trip and I act like a travel expert already. Pfft.
I couldn't wait for my next trip. That is, if there is another trip.
I will upload some photos soon when I get the chance. Stay tuned.

I actually miss my real life
NB:This post was written a couple of days ago and was only published when I could access the internet.
Have you ever been so far for so long, you just can't wait to get back to your old life? Have you ever been in a place that is so unfamiliar to you for so long, you are actually looking forward to get back to your same boring routine?
This is my 7th day away from Alex, and I actually miss it. Oh not really. I don't miss the people, the environment, or anything actually related to Alex. I just miss being in the comfort of my own home. My own room.
Anyway, I might start writing a diary again. But I'm not sure if I'll stick to it long enough. The only reason why that idea came to me is because I read a diary that has been left behind in our B&B in Verona. I know it's not good to read other people's private lives...but it was so tempting. Besides, I couldn't really figure out to whom it belonged, so in a way, no harm done.
